Driving to work today, noticed my exhaust note didn't sound quite right. Once I got to work, looked under the truck to see my muffler has a hole rusted through it towards the exit. Seeings how it's only been on my truck right at 2 years now I don't believe I will be going back with Flowmaster. I live in the South, no salt in the winter time, I don't know what ate it up, but it looks horrible.

Anyway I've been looking at the Cherrybomb Vortex as a replacement. I found one for $50 shipped to my door, and the guy that put my FM on said he'd swap it out for $20 since it didn't last as long as it should have. Was wondering if drone is a problem with this muffler?

 

I dont have a hemi, but it sounds great on my 5.9. my flowmaster also rusted out and the cherry bomb is much better. no drone, great rumble at idle and screams at wot. The sound gets better after several hundred miles IMO. I am very very pleased with mine

 

Any chambered muffler is going to drone a bit, but the Cherry Bombs are barely noticeable, nothing like the Flowmasters.

 

Pyro has the cherry Bomb but not sure about the Vortex tho. Thats what I'm going to is Cherry Bomb, but the Extreme.
He beat me to it! LOL

 

I've got the Extreme. Love the noise it makes. Although my neighbors don't like it when I come home at 2am.

Well, I went ahead and ordered the muffler, I guess the worst case scenario I don't like it and sell it cheap to someone on here...

 

you will like it i have it sound real good friends say that when i take off sounds like i got a turbo

 

Just had it installed. Initial reaction is it's a little quieter than my FM, but overall tone is very nice. A lot less drone in the cab.. Didn't realize the FM was so bad until it was gone...

I'll give it a few weeks, and see if I can get a new video up with it on my truck. Now just gotta update the signature... lol

 

did you get the Vortex? If so it will get louder I promise! just hang in there mine woke up after several road trips it is real sweet now
