Default Cam Update

This sucks, I gave Inertia a call last night and they are out of cams just like everyone else is right now. I guess their main supplier of the blanks are out because of a stop in sale from the steel mill they work with (dont know the whole story there but thats the jist of it I guess). They expect to start taking orders though in the next week or two (fingers crossed). Damn!!!

Seems to be a nationwide shortage of all aftermarket cams.

I guess the one steel mill and the one company that makes the blanks is the only supplier for pretty much everyone.

You really think I keep my mod money in the same account as our joint accounts?? You're funny... Seriously though, its being put away with the rest of my "cam fees" so as soon as I am allowed to I can place my order.

The whole process for the cam is going to be expensive though.

$410 - Cam only
$150 - Install Kit
$100+ - 6.1 parts
$550 - Installer Fee
$250 - Tune

and then there is all the fluids as well that need to be replaced as you have to drain the block before you can start pulling things

Who's installing it? You should talk to 03ramit. he's close and he's an official installer for inertia.

Chris is the one doing it for me. Been talking to him alot recently about a few things on the truck other than the cam too. He's the one that got me hooked on getting a spartan cam, one ride in his truck was all it took.
