let me guess you have the IFS suspension correct??? if so i say go for it!!! them 40's will do nothing to your suspension componints but make them last forever. slap them on and we will be reading your new thread in a few months.....my suspension is shot
Pushin 40s is tough even on a manual trans.
If your 1500 has torsion bars you could crank them a bunch in addition to your 9" of total lift and might be able to pull it off but dont expect any room for flex.

On an IFS, 40s aren't something you want to go with. No more than 37" tires I believe.
And with most suspension lifts, you don't want to crank your TBs, unless you put some more lift in the rear because they level the vehicle for you.
