Money Best Spent
what year is it? that can play a part as to tuning it. wheels and tires will knock about half of your budget off. so figure 2400 left. then figure about 600 or so for the basic upgrades (tuner, cai, exhaust). that leaves about 1800 left. then a little over a hundered to 200 for a drop, another hundred or so for new headlights, another hundred or so for new tails, maybe some hids so add another hundred or so, throw on a new bumper cover to give it a sportier look thats about 300 and paint for the cover and grille shell and you're basically done with gas money left over

Truckin is right though, those are about the basic opening mods for any slick dodge. I got the headlights, hid's, third brake light, backup lights, sport package so I got to skip all the cost on bumpers and grills
a little bit of lift and some tires so I went the opposite direction in that, but its not the size that matters, its what sets it apart. I know there is the long standing battle between lifts and drops, but honestly, either way, you set yourself apart and however you wish to stand apart, do so.
And those are just random estimates from truckin, no personal experience of course haha.
$4,000 does sound like a lot of $$$ to put towards a vehicle's mods and its true, it really is a lot of money, unfortunately it doesn't get you a whole lot of stuff when you really go in and look at everything and start pricing the parts out and pricing out what it is going to take to get those parts in.
Your best bet is to have a plan and plan a head for it. Make a list of the things you want to do to your truck appearance wise and performance wise and break it down into parts/tuning needed to do the job (some things require additional parts and/or tuning to make the part you are installing work properly). Then next to each part, look up the cheapest price you can find for it and write it down. And finally go through your list and put a star or something next to everything you CANNOT do yourself and would have to take it somewhere to get done. Give a few shops around town a call and ask roughly what it would cost to install those parts and write down those numbers next to the initial part costs too. Then add everything up...

Are you doing most of this yourself or paying someone to do it? You can do your heads/tails for $20 if you got the time...you could find the SRT rims/tires on ebay/craigslist and get a good deal if you arn't in a hurry. You could get a Ramhammer CAI if you got the hood and make it functional
I wish I had 4K to spend on mods...I dont even want to fill my truck up all the way at the gastation
I'd like to see a complete supercharger setup for $4k (and by complete I mean all parts, all necessary components needed, and tuning).
When someone says they have $XXX amount to spend on something, it usually does not meant $XXX + $XXX

Thanks to everyone for contributing, yeah, i would have to probably pay to have some of the stuff i want done installed, so that will eat up a nice portion of my budget. Right now, i am thinking about getting SRT 10 Wheels, going with 2/4" drop, cold air intake and an efan. Want to supercharge in the future, but that might be a year away or so. Tell me what ya'll think so far.
