Not as loud as the 40 series but still a nice reasonable tone, if you are interested in getting a 50, check youtube out that may be the best example to hear the sound unless you know someone with your engine size that has a 50.

Not too sure on the 50 HD, but I recently installed a Delta 50 FM on my truck and it sounds great, again I didn't want it too loud as such the 40 series would bring, but I didn't want it quiet. It's great on acceleration but what sold me now is that it doesn't drone one bit at cruising speeds for me.

Have it, one of my first mods on the truck. Been on for over four years now. Decent sound, very poor flow.
Only good thing about it (and bad for me, really) is that it's still in perfect shape (although winter salt on the roads in not an issue for me at all), just a hint of surface rust on it. I really want to get a Cherry Bomb Extreme, but money's a bit tight right now and it's hard to justify spending money to replace a muffler that's still in very good shape.

IMO there are much better options out there for you...

I had a 50 on my 05. Sound was right for a DD, but as Hammer said, flow not so good.

I have since put on 3 Mangaflow mufflers on my different vehicles and I am sticking with them.

Pulled my FM50HD off my truck yesterday. It was on for 2 years, rusted through, and I'm in the South with no salt worries, and it still ate through. Maybe I just had a bad batch of metal on mine??

Anyway, traded with the Cherrybomb Vortex. Tone is a little lower, and it's a little more quiet. Inside cab drone is a lot less with the Cherrybomb. Overall I'm a lot happier with the CB, now I just hope it lasts longer than 2 years...

I still have sound clips of the 50hd in my signature, haven't had time to make a run with the new muffler yet....
