ya know i hear alot a b....ing and whining about the lack of power and overall unhappiness with hte 4.7 i have a 04 4.7 and its peppy its not doggish but i dont tow anything more than 3 4wheelers ive got cai and exhaust flowmaster at that.... i have a quadcab and it to be honest it ****s and gets its a truck now ive had a 490 hp 79 chevy shortbox and that was fast but light as hell and made fast with money you can make it faster ....i think my 4.7l is faster than my 99 modded 5.2 also diff gears in both models....i dont know what to think did i luck out on a better 4.7? im not complaining YET....only got 62k on it......

 

ya thing runs but i used flexfuel for a while when gas prices where very high but that was a year ago and since than the engine is been gettin like in a worst shape but its designed to take flexfuel so i dont know anymore it was a nice truck from the beginning and now the engines is just bugging me
