Why are Dodge Front Ends Components built so poor?
i have Cummins dodge ram 2500 and our company runs 2500's and 3500's. not only do they have a great engine but they are cheap, cheap cheap (just paid $35k for a brand new Cummins 2500 quadcab, auto, big horn edition). however, whatever money you save on the front end you will end up spending on repairs. i had to have my entire front end replaced after 30k miles. our other pickups have the same problems. cupped and worn font tires, dangerous steering, worn parts, bad ball joints, and so on. i spoke with a local tire and alignment shop and they see the same thing with dodges starting at 40k miles.
so what give? why are these front ends so crappy?
what can be done to prevent this or to help these components to last longer?

Traditionally, the 2500/3500 Dodge trucks have always had the reputation of having the best diesel engine on the planet in the Cummins 5.9 and now the 6.7, but the worst automatic transmission and front ends of any 3/4+ trucks built.
Personally, I'd rather pay $10k less for a Dodge than a Furd 3/4 ton, have a better engine, get a manual tranny, and replace front end parts with overbuilt aftermarket components as they failed.
Remember, always make a repair a mod!!!
