Thumbs down E-Fan installed but one question.

Hey Guy This is my first post. I got my truck( 2007 4.7L QC 2WD) about a month ago. My first upgrade was to put an E-Fan. I found the write up by Off_Road_Teacher on here. So I went to getting parts, I got a Taurus fan,a flex-A-Lite fan controller, and the other parts he used. I started yesterday installing.

Here is my question. The clutch fan post/nut holds the water pump pulley on. What size nut fits it?

I have everything installed and working but with out that nut I had to put the clutch minus the fan blades back on to keep the pulley in place.

I thought about cutting the post/ nut off and using it. But then I would have to buy another clutch if I ever wanted to go back.

Any help would be great.

Thanks
Tank

The pulley is pressed on and will stay in place. You don't need a nut or clutch without the blades.

The nut is not necessary. I used a great big crescent wrench to get the nut off. I'd guess it's a 1 1/4", but I don't know. A spanner is helpful to hold the water pump pulley. Some folks have jammed screwdriver or whatnot into the holes in the pulley.

The pulley should stay on without the nut.
