I have an 05 2500 w/ the 5.9 turbo deisel. I have noticed a lot of black smoke coming out the tail pipe(more than it use to) and also the oil level running low in between oil changes. I got to looking and around the turbo i noticed oil leaking..both wet and a build up of oil around the tubro. I was wondering if there is a rebuild kit for the turbo or seal kit or something. Any suggestions on how to fir this or what my problem could be? thank u in advance.
On a side note i was hooking up a trailer electric brake and got the wires mixed up it arched and now i don't have tail lights when the key is off(like normal) only when the key is on and it is a delay for lights to come on...any ideas where a fuse maybe for this prblm or anything i can do to fix it? i have gone through pretty much all the fuses under the hood already...

 

If it was a fuse they wouldn't come on at all. As for the turbo and smoke issue there is a Diesel section, they could prolly answer your questions better than any of us.
