Default 2006 Ram 1500

Hey guys, I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 HEMI with a 3 inch suspension lift and 285/70/17 Firestone Destination M/T's under it. I am due up for an oil change soon and thinking about switching to synthetic. I am hoping to gain some MPG's with this. Will it help at all? I also have a full K&N air intake system. Any other suggestions for increased mileage without chipping? I'm not a fan of the chips.

Synthetic oils are always a good idea, but simply going to a synthetic in the crankcase is not going to give you much mpg gains, not more than a couple tenths of a mpg anyway.
Now going to synthetics everywhere (diffs, transfer case, tranny, etc) would yield you a mpg or two...

Ive got RP in everyplace it can go and I noticed nothing but less "tick".

However and like hammer said, it is a good idea to use it. Its already OEM in the trans and diff case anyway.
