Question Legitamite leveling kit question

what do you guys think about this kit?

It is the cheapest I have seen and it has the relocation brackets so I can use a stock-length shock. I figure a key is a key and at least these are USA made.

Thanks

I never heard of them, but the price is right. I think my biggest concern would be the 3" level though. You only need 2.25" to get your truck perfectly level and 3/4" doesn't sound like much but it will significantly increase (and weaken) the angle of the CV axles.
If it were me, I'd stay at 2" and have a very slight rake. I'm not even a big fan of the 2 1/2" keys because of the CV angle...

thanks for the quick reply. Luckily, from what I can tell, it does not have to be a 3" level. I think it says 2-3". I plan to have a winch and lights at some point and I remember someone saying on here that you need to have a bigger (higher ") leveling kit to keep it level with those things on. Is this true?

But more importantly do you think I should go for it?

IF it's adjustable from 2" to 3" then give it a shot, but keep it closer to 2" than 3". I have a 4" suspension lift and 2" blocks. One major advantage to a suspension lift, is that a decent kit maintains the stock CV angles and replaces weaker components (tie rods, etc.) with stronger ones. So with a BB (budget bump) you really need to be concerned with this angle and premature failure of front end components with the wear that larger, heavier tires will cause.
After everything "settled" with the winch and stainless brush/grill guard, I found that a slight torsion bolt crank of about 1/4" was all I needed to have a perfectly level truck...

well thank you very much. I'll try to watch the CV angles.

I think I'll get it ASAP. I really like how much it could broadened my shock-options.
