Tranny help?
I have a 2004 Diesel automatic two wheel drive 3500. Today on the way home. was 2 miles from home, it quit shifting. It would not shift into overdrive, then would not shift at all. I had the fluid and filter changed 3 months ago. a month ago replaced the two electronic parts inside the transmission, because tranny would not shift, after doing that it seemed to work ok until today. Fluid smells really burnt and it is leaking bad. There is still plenty of fluid in the transmission, it did not run dry or anything.
What hapened? How do I fix it, new tranny or a rebuild? How much should something like this cost me. I live in Central Ohio.
