yeah man it really isn't worth the trouble, but I haven't had any problems with my lights, not even one person has flashed their lights at me yet..knock on wood
If you look in the link in my sig there are pics of my custom Halos. When you said custom I thought you meant like I did and literally MAKE them but you are wanting to buy some and add them on your headlight assembly.
The problem with those you are looking at on ebay are they are 100mm and at that size there is nothing for them to attach to in the headlight bowl. The problem with adding them on the turn signal side is that that side is not completely round.
Now if you were doing a projector retrofit with shrouds then you would have something for 90mm-125mm rings to attach to.
As you know, dont use red or blue unless you are parked. Thats the only way you can use they and stay out of trouble. You cant drive with those colors.
yeah i want to do them how ur ones in ur link is, not ur new crazy $700 ones haha. another thing, when u put ur lights in the oven does it smell bad? dont want to stink up the whole house
place them on a baking rack at 170* for 15 mins with convection turned on. If no convection then 170* for 17 mins. There will be no smell. But make sure you either set the cook timer on the oven or pay very close attn to a clock.
not sure about the train horn but the headlights being red are illegal and your looking at a $200 plus fine impersonating an emergency official. Which is an arrestable offense.
I got mine from Chad at Unique-Coatings.com, 8000k is the temp.
The colors are depending upon where you are. Around here you can have red lights on a vehicle, but they can not be flashing because that is impersonating an emergency vehicle. I know this because one of my buddies called City Hall to be sure of what color lights are allowed and aren't allowed to be used.
The best thing to do for buying the lights is to call the city and see what the restrictions on lights are. Most states are different.
