Alright weedahoe replied....
xfeejayx - Its not that I never used it cause I did, it was on the truck for about 6 months or so. But with the new exhaust I put on Im not seeing any gains with it open. That XR1 muffler was originally made for draggsters to "quiet" them down a little at the track so it is very free flowing. And with the addition of those LT's, which should be on this weekend, and no cats its going to be loud enough on its own.

yea that's what I meant, that you got as loud as you want, so you don't need the cutout with the muffler too. and before I wanted a really freeflowing exhaust, but with the low end torque that cost you, I don't even want it wide open.

Ive got one now but want another so when I put on my LTs and re-do my pipes I will have one for each side. However, the one I have now never even gets closed. It stays open 95% of the time and the only time I close it is when Im showing it to someone OR me and the wife are going on a long drive and she gets tired of hearing it. If it really wasnt for her I would just run plates and not electric ones.

That would be another reason why Im getting rid of it, the wife gets massive headaches with it open so I had to close it everytime we took the truck anywhere. With that XR1 on though it is loud outside but quiet inside so she doesn't get any headaches from it sitting in the cab sp its a win win for everyone.
