Default loud bang/clunk at shift

Im new to this forum and well here it goes. I bought a 2007 dodge ram 1500, 5.7L Hemi. and as of now i've installed a K&N intake on it and some other dodads. so this just started aout 2 weeks ago, at a high rpm shift say from 1st to 2nd ity goes up to 5500 rpm, as this happens it sounds like the tranny is either slipping or the engine hits the rev limiter, then like a loud pop/ bang (kinda like a backfire) it then shifts.
Im stumped on where to start looking.

need suggestions
Thanks
