mine is doing it on both sides... but it didnt start till the truck was about 4 1/2 years old. I will have to call my chrysler warranty clerk friend tomorrow and ask him if he knows about any bulletin concerning this problem. I dont seem to recall one. Most people experiencing this problem encounter the issue well after the 3-36 so Chrycorp probly wouldnt care about it anyway.

just like the gen 2 dashboards and trannies....i think even some of the early gen3's are starting to crack....just another way to make money cause none of us wanna deal with it so we trade up.....and not just over the foam....

There is not a recall but there is a TSB. The dealer will replace the weatherstripping on both sides with P/N 55277190AB and 55277191AB if under warranty. If not then you have to buy them and replace them yourself. They just pull off and push on.

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the secondary door seal with an improved seal.
MODELS: **2004 - 2005** (DR/DH) Ram Truck
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The drip rail or secondary door seal may become torn from contact with the lower pillar of the front door.
DIAGNOSIS:
Inspect the secondary door seal. If the seal is torn, perform the Repair Procedure.

Yes I bought mine from my local dealership and they are exactly the same except where the door contacts the seal. That part is tapered down a bit so there is no more contact.
