Yeah so i deceided to ditch the rear bumper and go with a roll pan.i c some weld on ones and some steel bolt on ones and some plastic ones - im leaning towards the steel bolt on that way i can powder coat it and just bolt it on.anyone know if the bolt on is easy to install? It looks like just 6 bolts hold it on on the top,is that all it is? Is there any reason roll pans arent good to have? I dont ever use my rear bumper so im thinking its ok to ditch it,lol i figure i can sell my chrome one and i just bought a used black one that im gonna paint with bedliner, then ill sell that to and it will pay for the roll pan and powder coating.

its super easy to install. actually the removal of the factory bumper was harder than installing the roll pan. once you get the bumper off, you just line up the roll pan and screw in the sheet metal screws. i put two in the bottom just to hold the bottom in place. simple stuff man.

all you do is spice in one of the existing plate light wires, and run it to the light provided with the pan. the install holes for the light should be pre-drilled.

Definately easier pitting the roll pan on than taking the bumper off.

i thought so too when i saw a chevy with a roll pan and you could see the bolts, but when i put mine on you cant see the bolts from the back. the tailgate hides them. when i was done i took some semi-gloss black spray paint and just shot a coat over the bolts so they wern't all shiny and silver and noticable.
