Default Sound System

I have a factory installed Infinity sound system. There is no mp3 player connection. I really love the quality of sound. If I change the stock radio to a aftermarket radio it will affect my sound quality?

Of course it will. It will sound better. But keep in mind if you are going to keep your stock Infinty system you either will need to get an adapter to make it all work (because of the Infinity amp) or replace the stock speakers and either run them off an amp or the HU.

What year is your truck BTW?

Easy fix if AUX in is your only issue. I didn't want to go aftermarket....

You will get lots of opinion on this. It all depends on what features you want and how much you can afford.

I just want to connect my mp3 player. I heard something about some kind of adapter that you connect to FM receiver.

Yeah, you can use an FM modulator. One end plugs into the antenna and the other end plugs into the audio device (in your case the MP3 player) and it transmits wirelessly to your HU via an FM channel. You can find them on ebay
