Default LSD 2007 and up

Went to the dealer today for an oil change. They do it for about the same as I can for synthetic because I bought the truck there and I don't have the time right now. The service manager told me that Dodge fixed the problems with the 9.25" LSD in 2007. Is this true or where they just telling me a story to cover up the problem.

The clips were changed to a little larger and presumably stronger ones in mid model year '07 from what I've been told. So you may or may not have the better ones.
I'd say there is some truth to it, a poll taken on another forum showed a very large decrease of the problem starting with the '07s, although some did still have failures with '07s and '08s.
I'd say the issue is much better, but still not a complete fix...

I'm at 15,000 miles and will have the cover off soon to change oil and inspect. Will post with results.

Hate to steal the thread. But I remember reading about the clips. Can they just be removed and it still function normally?

I have the lsd in my truck, and mine is at 96k miles, and I haven't had any problems with it. I'm sure it wasn't the best design ever built, but it also somewhat depends on what kind of care you take of it and how you use or abuse your pickup.
