Unfortunately I bought my truck 2 months shy of the lifetime warranty and I'm 10,000 miles past my regular warranty. This blows!

Yea I was looking on the dodge site at the warranty and it didn't show the powertrain warranty for the 07's when I looked it up. Seems like they screwed a bunch of people while transitioning over to the lifetime warranty (which I think is gone for 2010). They really should have to cover this if your truck has been properly maintained, but I have no idea how to make them.

Well, the dealer called today and it turns out I've got a broken valve spring. At least that's not the worst it could have been. I'll have my truck back tomorrow afternoon, $600 later.

I got my truck back on wednesday and they said it was no particular reason the spring broke. "It just happens. I'm hopeful that maybe in a year or so it get recalled for the springs and I can get my money back. I can dream, right. But it's running great now. I'm still a little paranoid so I've been easy on it.

Hopefully it was a fluke and won't happen again. You'd think if it was common there would be some record of it on forums or some other site kind of like the sludge prone engines.

This kinda worries me, because I have the same truck, but I am MUCH harder on it. All this tells me is that I need to build the top end ASAP. I'll be sure to fill you guys in if mine dies too.... (knocks on wood. LOTS of wood).
