Default 03 Crankshaft Sensor PROBLEM

I have a 2003 1500 5.7l hemi and the crankshaft sensor needs to be replaced. I'm told it is on a national backorder and I have contacted every parts store in my area and can't get this part. I also tried some parts stores on the internet with the same results. Thankfully the truck has been working but when it acts up, I can't start the truck. Anyone else have this problem? or know where I could find one of these sensors???

Thanks for any advise or help

Rick

I picked up a Duralast Crankshaft Position Sensor at AutoZone within the last month for $30, for a 4.7L V8. Both removal and installation were very difficult due to the surrounding rust. Afterwards I cleared the OBD II codes and it hasn't come up since. The engine used to shut down while on the road, but has not since the replacement.
