03 4.7 missfire HELP PLEASE
i have an 03 1500 with a 4.7 and its missing... BAD it has 80000 on it replaced the plugs and still the number 3 and 7 cylinder are dead... i have signal going to all coils and i replaced those 2 coils and tested them and they are firing but still when the engine is running those 2 cylinders are not firing... i am getting coil codes for d and h coils and also randomly get codes for other coils... i replaced the crank sensor and the cam sensor was replaced not very long ago... when i pulled the plugs on 3 and 7 they were wet so the injectors are firing but maybe they are just squirting instead of spraying... maybe something got sucked into the injectors beings that it started doing this when the tank was on empty. has anyone had this happen before? the only thing i can think of is if the injectors are firing and if the engine didnt jump time in some way or another then its the computer telling the plugs to fire just at the wrong time and there for causing the miss... any help or ideas where to look would be appreciated
figured out the problem after talking to the dodge dealership... carbon build up causes the valves to stick just long enough that the rocker arm will fall off and cause a miss... and the said it happens 90 percent of the time on 3 and 7 so if anyone has this happen check your rockers
