30,000 Mile maintenance cost?
I bought a used 2004 Hemi Ram 1500 a few months ago with 28,000 miles on it. Now it has over 30,000 miles on it, and according to the owners manual it is due for some maintenance work.
I am curious to hear from owners who have had their trucks in for a 30,000 mile maintenance visit, what was done and how much it cost.
I am not certain of the maintenance history of the truck, so I am inclined to have the maintenance work done at a local dealer. I just want to get an idea of what I should expect to pay.
what i was told is that im going to need to change my spark plugs @ 30K .. and most likly an oil change, and prolly new wires.
just go down to the dealer and ask for how much. im guessing > 50$

Here's what I had done on my '04 Ram (Hemi engine of course) at 30,000 miles.
LOF $19.95
Front Differential Fluid Change $69.95
Rear Differential Fluid Change $69.95
Transfer Case Fluid Change $69.95
Transmission Flush/Fluid change $99.95
New Plugs $255.00
Injectors Cleaned $75.00
Tires Rotated $N/C
Wheels Balanced $28.00
Do the math. It's over $300. Prices will vary by dealer, of course.

Sharky, mine is used and has 17K, and the dealer told me that it would cost 275 for plugs alone... almost crapped my pants...but mine is 2 wd so the other stuff wount be so bad... Good luck....
I had everything done that the book said at 30,000 miles and it cost me $425.00. I was told that it cost so much because of the plugs. My mpg dropped for some reason after I had it done, I can't figure out what happened.

Because of the plugs?
Nonsense. I ordered my plugs(all 16 of them) from Checker Auto Parts and did it myself. The plugs were only $60 for quality platinums.
It's a bit tight on the drivers side near the master cylinder but with creative use of swivels and extensions and removal of the plastic intake, it's doable.[sm=signs003.gif]
