Question Leak

I noticed recently that there is a small puddle of antifreeze toward the front of the engine on the drivers side and I can smell antifreeze after I drive sometimes. Any idea were the leaks coming from. Waterpump?

Classic heater core symptom. Cheap part, bi*ch to get to. Most shops will charge $600-$800 for the labor alone.

I had to door the blend doors in my Grand Cherokee and since my entire dash had to come out anyway, I went ahead and did the evap and heater core at the same time. 30 minute swap once you take the half a day or more to get the dash (and ALL the little wires, connectors and sh*t) out...

How does the heater core have anything to do with the front of the engine?

Anyways, I have a similar issue. Changed the water pump and thermostat back in March, now It's doing it again. not, but I'm thinking it might even be the timing cover this time. I know the old 5.9's did this once in a while.

sh*t, you are right, I sometimes I skim over the questions too damn fast, I read it as the leak was inside on the floorboard, which would be heater core.

OP, ignore me, I know not what I say!!!

Now, when it starts to leak inside, and you got anti-freeze in the carpet, then you can remember what I said...

take your truck to the car wash, pressure wash the engine bay around the area by where the puddle is. try to keep clear of you intake if its aftermarket. then drive your truck till its at operating temp to build up the pressure. then slide on under that thing, follow the trail of coolant. if its on your block it could be the waterpump or a loose hose. the coolant should tell you where its coming from. just remeber to follow the leak as far UP the engine or radiator till you find it. dont' want to replace a whole pump for what could have been a loose hose clamp.
