Have a 2008 Ram 1500 Hemi with 14,000 miles. Had a squealing noise problem start around 8, 000 miles which sounded like a belt or water pump bearing. The squealing would only happen after the truck had been running for 10 minutes or so and only at idol around 600 rpm. Give it a little gas and the squealing goes away. Plus it doesnt do it all the time. It comes and goes without any indication of why.Took it to the dealer and was told that Dodge had changed the seal in the water pump to a porcelain seal. The tech told me he had heard this same type of noise before on Hemis with low miles which my is (purchased in Jan. 2008). He told me there was a TSB (I could not find one) on this and Dodge recommended a water treatment which he put in. Long story short it did not solve the problem. The squealing still comes and goes.I wanted them to change the water pump but the dealer would not. So beofre I take it back to the dealer for a 2nd time, I was wondering if anyone else has or heard of this problem. Thanks.

 

My truck does the same thing. Its only got 5000ish miles(bought in Febuary).
