Get the level kit. Ram's are too low to the ground from the factory, for sure. All you have to do is replace the torsion keys. You will need a ratchet to take TWO bolts out, and a torsion key removal tool. You can pick one up at a parts place for cheap.

However, here is my opinion. Take a ratchet, and give a few cranks on both torsion bolts. You can level your truck(and lift it in most cases), just by tweaking the torsion bars. Before I had all my lifts on, my truck was low in the front like yours. I took a ratchet and gave each torsion bolt about 4 cranks, and it leveled my truck, made it look 100x better, and it gave it a bit stiffer of a ride, which I like in trucks. The only thing you will need to do is align it, because your tires will be pointing inwards after the crank.

You can align it yourself by adjusting the tie rod ends if you don't want to spend the money.

If you crank the torsion bars yourself, you can also buy the Hella's. The Hella's look great for offroad vehicles, and really light things up. I've had them on all of my ram's before.

He has 2WD though, so no torsion bars.

Get the leveling kit. All you need are the spacers but you probably should get longer shocks cause the stock ones are going to bottom out.

How much do you think that kit and shocks will cost me? How hard is it to do all that? I know I will prolly need something to decompress the springs.

I'd rate the difficuilty a 2/5... Shocks are just two bolts each, so that shouldn't be any problem. The lift kit(spacers) is only $40. http://app.infopia.com/Shop/Control/...907/rid/127794.

I would just disconnect the front shocks and sway bar links(1 bolt each), let your front suspension sag, and you should probably be able to pull the coils right out and put the spacers in.

Get both, the Hella's aren't that expensive. Just kick in like $50 of your own cash and you can have both.

You have to get it aligned after you level it anyway.

Get the level kit. It should run you like 110-120 after tax and shipping

You can also buy a kit with shock relocation brackets to put off buying new shocks. You might WANT to go ahead and replace them, but you can always do it down the line and just remove the brackets. That's what I decided to do after talking it over for a while with Hammer

My 2" level kit with longer Fabtech shocks was $159 and the labor with alignment was $200. The leveling kit gives the whole truck a new attitude.

I also love having the extra illumination with the Hellas. Get the 500ff (free form). They have more of a spread beam pattern like regular headlights. The regular 500s are just a spotlight....

Why would Hellas be illegal? They are not in Texas, but then again, most things aren't. All of those Yankee states have them weird laws about lights, tires sticking out, etc....LOL

Lol. Most states have lift laws. As for lights, I believe in MN it was up to 4 clear lights on front of vehicle, then all lights after that must be a different color. Stupid law, correct? Also, since I had 8 lights on the front of my jeep, I had to cover my roof rack lights to make it legal to drive. Most states don't enforce these kind of laws. Also in MN, you couldn't modify suspension 6" past factory spec, and rear bumper couldn't be higher then 36" off ground. Also, tires could not extend over 1" outside the side of fender, and if more than 30% of your rear tires were exposed you had to have mudflaps.

Again, this is just an example of MN - and what most cops do not enforce. I have lived in Chicago before, and they were a bit different. And now that im in CO, they are also different. Just depends on where you go.
