Maybe it was just where I was when I went to CA (just north of LA) but I honestly didn't see many trucks at all. And very few big trucks and I only saw 1 lifted truck while I was there. Seemed like everyone had beamers, lexus, mercedes or even something we could park in our truck beds. It was just a lot different from here in north FL and south GA where there seem to be more trucks than cars on the roads. But like I say, that was probably due to the area I was in too.
i know exactly what your talking about. i live in southern CA but go to college in chico which is about an hour and a half north of sacramento. up here the truck to car ratio is EASILY 3:1 but back south where my family is its about 4:1 cars to trucks. its a darn shame if you ask me
You have an awesome truck. So, you're wanting to lift it and get away from that 2/5 drop? What kinda height are you looking for? I'm guessing you have a 2wd and not 4 by since you have the drop. Just let us all know what you're looking for, people on here will surely give you a hand and they are all really knowledgeable. welcome again.
i didnt know people in cali had animals to hunt? unless your hunting people ?
depends on where you are. in northern cali, there's tons of animals to hunt and lots of lakes and forests. in southern cali it's javalinas, rattlesnakes, birds, and other desert creatures. in the metro areas it's all about gunning down pedestrians. gotta be careful though, the humans are quick and usually return fire
there is tons of hunting in CA. wild boar, duck, geese, rabbit, deer, bear, and all kinds of stuff. but the fishing is where we really have it good. you wont find fishing better than san diego anywhere.
+1 on that. several lakes around here for fresh water fishing and tons of day-long and overnight ocean tours for some serious fun off the coast, especially when you start getting closer to ensenada and cabo. then theres the sea of cortez on the other side of baja, great times over there in the warmer waters too

go south of LA into orange county and san diego. every other vehicle is a lifted truck. people spend insane amounts of money on their toys out here. huntington beach is like lifted truck central and orange & san diego counties are where all the big names are located. kumho, rbp, 4wheelparts.com, etc etc.

I only thought in California there was hug cities and deserts. NO idea ducks and geese were out that way. Is the housing as expensive up north cali as it is in the cities?
