lmao figures and yeah balljoints suck, rent a tool if your going to reuse your old ones, if im replaceing them i just smack the threaded end with a hammer and out she goes if you wanna do this urself, go for it and if you have trouble's just post up with some pics er somethin im sure some 1 here if not me can help ya
will putting the old ones back in be a bad idear? and really no way to tell if im going to need to pull them or not until its torn down is there? And yeah I'm pretty mechanically inclined and I think I have done this job in auto in school... but... the cars/trucks had been pulled apart a million times and just not the same.. But yeah I'll get it done probably tomorrow and I'll def post some pics if I'm having troubles..
well if you look under your truck at the front chunk and their the bolt on style cv's shouldnt have to pull a balljoint (might want to rent a tool just in case tho) and no not a bad idea at all, as long as their still firm and the rubber boot isnt torn..no worries
