Ok so i cant get a straight answer from anyone on any car audio forums ive tried. I need so me advice and or suggestions. i am going to upgrade the stock infinity system 6x9's and 5.25 components or 6.5 components. they will be hooked up to an Eclipse XA5000 amp. id love to hear and see what you all have done. Unfortunatly im on a budget and would like to keep it under $250 for all the speakers. and i want it loud as hell but sound good too. Who better than the people that have the same truck? please post any and all pics

 

gotta replace that head unit also. Head unit goes with the amp. I believe

 

You can get all the door speakers for less and 100. Run all new wire and RCAs for less than 30. IDK about the amp or HU have chose but you will go over 250 slightly I think. Ive got tons of pics in the link in my sig. Click on it and you can see my subs, amps, different HUs and so forth.

 

i had a blown speaker on my infinity system earlier this summer. i went to best buy to ask the guy my best options and he said because the way the infinity systems are set up, the 6x9s in the door only run mids and lows so dont waste money on speakers that have tweets in the center. all high range comes from the tweets you have in the dash. i put in Rockford Fosgate 6x9 in my front doors for like 120 installed. but im sure you can get it cheaper if you DIY. i used to have a huge system in my sububan but i am really pleased with what i have now W/O subs.

 

ok let me explain some more. the head unit is pioneer deh i already fiberglassed a custom enclosure under the rear seats raised the seats 2 inches. ill soon be putting 3 12 inch solobaric l7's 2 under the seat and the 3rd in a custom console box. they will be powered by 2 alpine mrp m1000 amps. the mids and highs i do by will be hooked up to the Eclipse XA5000 amp. i will be doing all of the install so im not worried about that. the stock piece of **** infinity amp will not be used. all im looking for are the 6x9's and 5.25 or 6.5 components for the rear. what setup do you all have and are you happy with them. thanks
