Default Which thermostat?

It looks like my upper radiator hose needs replaced because it's leaking coolant, so I figured I'd change my thermostat while I'm at it. Should I replace it with a 180 degree thermo or a stock one? I live in Nebraska and it's snowing and cold as hell right now. I'm not sure if I should stick with the stock one for the winter or go ahead and throw in the 180. Which one should I go with? Thanks....my mods are listed on my sig

Stock is 30 bux. That 180* Stant 14168 stat was half the price.

Please don't stick in a 180 when winters approaching.
I did it here in the UK and it only gets to -3 to -5 deg C here.
My heater never seemed to get hot and the temp gauge, was berlow1/4.
Also threw a couple of codes can't remember which ones, that related to cold engine temps and that's here, in a relatively balmy England.
Lord knows what would happen in a cold Nebraska???

Wait till summer and with a power wire and long tubes, it's a good performance mod.

Hope this helps?
Al.

I run the 180 all year, but I do also adjust my e-fan so that the truck will warm up properly during the winter months.

My truck takes a good while to warm up now as it is, I wasn't sure how much of a difference the 180 would make in that department. I don't have a e-fan yet like Off Road Teacher. I may just stick with the stock one for winter and then swap to 180 in the spring. Thanks for all the input
