You should be fine, although you have a little less clearance with your coil overs than the '05 < guys who have torsion bar fronts. The backspacing and a negative offset is a little more critical for you.
Now the 35's will fit with just a level and the right wheels, but fitting and being functional are two different things. Keep in mind you won't have much articulation off-road if that is your intention. If this is basically a "looks" thing, then you'll be ok.

Hammer is right. Guys on here that go for looks, which is ok stuff the wheel well with the biggest tires, then want to know how to fix the fact the tires rub. If you're doing offroading, you need to get a tire that will give you room for the suspension to work. Also, for some reason probably for demand 20 inch tires cost more than 17 or even 18 inch tires so there's a little cost saving as well. You just have to decide whether the tires are the proper size for what you're wanting to do with the truck.

You're right on. For example I "could" run 35"s on my truck with the level. I do go into the woods, just not much nasty stuff (only 2wd) but I put 295"s on which are equal to a 33" inch tire. It does give the suspension room to move should you get into some fun stuff out there. I think it's a good idea not to stuff a tire under a truck and hope it doesn't rub.

I've had pretty good luck with them. You just need to make sure, especially with Nitto's you have them rotated pretty regularly. Like every 3 or 4k miles is what the man at discount told me. It's a softer compound. Nice, quiet tire with good wet handling. Love 'em. I'm with you on the too much other stuff to worry about. My sis is from conneticut, where abouts you at?
