Default What gauges do you think are most usfull for the hemi?

I have one more opening for a gauge on my truck but cant decide witch one to go with...

I have a fuel pressure gauge on the outside of the truck mounted behind the hood but before the windsheild wiper in on the driver side ... Alot of mustang guys do that (thats were i got the idea) I love it and its safer to cuz its a mechanical gauge not electronic.

Then inside on the piller i have my AEM wideband on the bottom then my nitrous pressure and now i need to fill the top spot and i cant decide if i want ..

Oil pressure ... Do these trucks tend to have an oil problem?

Tran temp ... I know tranys are a problem but will temp change be able to tell me to take it easyer on the truck or something like that?

or EGT gauge ... That seems like it might be the most usefull to see how hot the truck is really running.

What do you guys think and what r u guys using?? Thanks for the advise!!!

i would go tranny. That way you can really see how its doin and help protect the tranny better when pulling or anything. you have a coolant temp gauge for the motor. I

Trans temp by far is the only choice you have. EGT's are only important in a rodded Cummins so you don't melt her down and your truck already has an oil pressure gauge. The reason for the trans temp gauge is the reason you state. It will tell you slow down and let it cool off before you burn it up.

Since you already have the wideband my vote is for the trans temp.

Aeroforce Interceptor

It can monitor oil temp, trans temp, kr, fuel trims, and a gazillion other useful things!

I'll add my $.02 too I suppose. I'd go with the trans temp also. Although, I'm not sure sure what the trans temps are with a stock pan, so it might be important to watch. I have a deep pan and my temps never get over 150deg on a 100deg day in rush hour traffic. So needless to say, the needle never leaves the 100deg mark during the winter months.
The other guages I have are Transfer case and rear diff temps. The rear diff stays pretty cool also. The transfer case can get well over 210 deg on the highway in the summer time. It's pretty amazing to see how hot it gets. I also like to watch it because of those times I'm offroading, or driving around in 4-HI during the winter.
