Default HIDs interfering with radio reception

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere here on the forum about someone saying that the HIDs on our trucks will mess with the quality of radio reception. At the time I didn't think much of it, but now I can definitely notice it. Before I turn my headlights on the radio comes in clear, but as soon as I snap the HIDs on, it gets fuzzy. Is there anyway to make a loophole around this or is this the price you pay for running the HIDs?

I have the same issue with my 07'... I have read that moving the ballasts off the frame will fix this...I dont know it to be true cause I haven't moved mine yet. But if yours are mounted on your frame, maybe try moving them to somewhere that is plastic...

Yeah try what explorer there said. Just temporarily zip tie the ballasts off to the side ensuring they do not contact metal and give that a whack. If problem solved then find your self a non ferrous mounting surface and go nuts.

Twiggy has said before it is the ballast causing the issue
