Default Questions on 6sp behind CTD

My question lies on the g56 debate and the nv5600
What is the easiest way to tell them apart.
I believe the shift patterns are different but do not know which one is which.
I know i have driven both. But neither dealer could tell me which one was which.
I did notice the shift patterns and one- reverse is over by first two- reverse is over by 6th.
Which one is which.
I am looking at buying a 3500 CTD 6sp DRW QC 4x4 and know i dont really want the g56 just for the possibility for trannie failure so ive heard.

Well my father has the NV5600 and R is other by 6th on his. It's a bulletproof tranny. He abused it for 90,000 miles and never had any trouble at all from it.

DC has sent out a memo about the G-56 and the release of truck to the market. aparently a solution has been found. but in my eyes, DC should have stayed with the NV5600.

I sent you a PM about your question though.

if you are able to get a NV5600 you'll enjoy it

Yeah thanks Drew for the info on the shift pattern.
I have located two nv5600 trucks one silver and one white.
Both with just the right amenities for me nothing fancy and nothing missing.
As i say again thanks for the info.
I would have asked the guys at tdr but im not a member over there =YET=
