Painted my stock grill and tint today

Also, my truck is the same gray color.. would I be able to find that gray in spray paint at home depot or lowes?

That's awesome! I really would like to do that. So you just sanded the chrome plating off with 600 grit sandpaper and then cleaned it and after that it was ready for paint? I would sand the grille down myself and then have a guy I know who works at a body shop paint it, think it would look good all black?

Ya thats all i did ... im sure a body shop painting it will come out better but for a quick cheepo job it came out pretty perfect for me ... Hopefully it wont chip anytime soon...

And I personly like all black trucks ... If I had a black truck every piese of crome would be painted black ... But its really your prefrence

Im not a fan of crome tho

The only other thing i might try is painting it flat black ... Cuz witchever black i pic (eather flat black or glossy black) Im going to paint my rims and badges

I painted my inserts black, but over some period of time they have chipped a little, I plan on pulling them back out and repainting them when it starts to warm up again.

i painted my grill the same way i used some 600g and some scotch brite green pads and i used adhesion promoter and primer them duplicolor paint match and then some clear came out great it has been a 6mths and i have 2 chips and a few spots but when i redo ill have a shop do it cause ive got some rock nicks in my upper bumper i want taken care of......hopefully by the time i do that ill find a hood and have it all done at once....
