Frog, Our trucks don't have roller lifters stock, do they? Roller lifters tend to allow for a more extreme cam grind because they can follow the cam slopes better. You can get better and quicker lift. Also they have better life than tappet lifters.

Switching to after market roller lifters on a mild cam, stock block hemi won't provide any benefit. All the parts have to work together.

The Hemi's do, so do the Magnum 5.2/5.9's, but they're hydraulic rollers, not solid.

There are no extreme cams for the hemi Even the custom tuning we do have can't support anything serious.

On any other make, we are in 100% agreement. lol

Blah! Screw it all, and just go stick a 392 or 426 in it.

Frog, what is your defintion of a radical cam? I know the LX guys run 550ish +/- lift on cams like the LittleBoy and Tomahawk.

How does this seem? If it's bad, then I'm obviously comparing the wrong numbers. Sorry for being a noob =-)

Man those lift numbers are low..........

Specifications:

• Duration @ .050": 241° Intake/241° Exhaust
• Intake Centerline: 106°
• Lift: 0.484" Intake"/0.475" Exhaust
• Recommended Springs: P3690933

The cam Im running is 0.525" lift. Remember the higher the lift and more A/F mixture can be pumped into the cylinder. Of course the duration plays a part also because the valve has to remain open for the charge to be pumped into it.

As you have seen from above, the most common cams are 260, 268, sidewinder, KRC 210 and spartan

Go back up to post #9 and look at some in those links. There is a 260 for sale on DT now and there are a few for sale on the LX board also.

Those specs aren't even worth the time to install the cam. That 260 on DT has been up for a while, he could probably get it for a good price at this point.
