after replacing my p/s pump and the rack and pinion, i figured ill just go ahead and replace my ball joints get new shocks. ball joints have lasted 106k and theyre really to be put to sleep. which replacement ones have you guys liked the most? replace with oem ones or aftermarket greaseable ones?

i have added an rough country 3 inch suspension lift a few years ago and im ready to increase the ride quality a bit more. my pops 07 ram with the bilstein shocks are nice and ive heard nothing but great reviews of them. so with a 3 inch suspension lift, which bilsteins should i get? are ones that fit a stock 1500 ram ok for my application or should i get the 4x4 ones that are a little longer?

what was the conclusion to the squeaking crackling sound coming from the front end of our rams? worn joints on upper control arms and tie rod ends? wanna make sure I'm going the right direction here. they need placing because of torn boots but I also want noises to go away.

Alot of them use aftermarket greasable MOOG ball joints. The upper BJ comes in the UCA and is replaced as a whole if you dont know already. The lower BJ is just the BJ. Check all of your other rubber and boots while you are under there. Its a good idea that everytime you change oil that you spray them with something to try to keep the rubber moisturized.

 

ah. ok so what would you recommend for keeping the rubber boots moisturized?
