Default cold air intake or just filter change?

How many of you are running a cold air intake? Or just change to a k&n filter and keep the rest stock?

Both!

I have a CAI in my Hemi truck to enhance my LT headers and custom exhaust.

I have a drop in K&N in my Grand Cherokee with the 4.7 HO engine, with no exhaust mods except a Magnaflow muffler.

IMO, if you DO NOT plan any other mods, do the drop in. If you're gonna do other mods, go for the CAI...

also i would like to add to hammers post that is right on ... if you are talking about a truck?? because you didnt say.? if you have a hemi you would benifet if you take the hemi hat off and run a tube like a air raid to the stock box with a drop in . more air the better. and you will also help it if you had a exhaust .

i agree with ramhunter. i have an AirRaid MIT tube (only replaces hemi hat) and a drop in k&n. works great for me right now as i dont have headers or anything. once i do get headers, and a cam and such, I will probably go with a CAI.

i got it for about $90. if you know how to work a screw driver it shouldnt take you more than 5 min to install. if it does, you have problems and should seek professional help.
