Question Can't Install Leveler Kit on 2008 Big Horn

Anyone else run into the problem of not being able to obtain enough space to install the leveler kit? Tried everything and they won't move enough. Seems like the suspension is so stiff that a lever kit wont fit. Any suggestions? They tried a bar, etc. for leverage.

it took us 10 hrs to install the 2.5" level kit on my 08 quad cab. you gota unbolt and remove the strut/coil and put the spacers on top of the assembly then reinstall. we used a ratchet strap around the bottom of the strut and through the top of the coil to compress it enough. push down on the lower control arm and it takes some muscle, but it will go in. just be sure not to pop the axle out if its a 4x4.try using a big *** flat head screw driver and try to pry/slide it into place. we got the front done and didnt even do the rear yet. oh, and its easier to have a few floor jacks too. we only had one and had to use my pneumatic motorcycle lift to lift the susp assembly back into place.

Are you doing this or having a shop do it. I've NEVER heard of ANYBODY having problems with a level kit on a coil over Dodge. Is this a 4x4 or 4x2?

It's a simple coil spacer, you remove the strut, install the spacer and put it back on. You ARE using spring compressors, aren't you?

Hell, I did a complete Rancho Quicklift (a lot more to it than a spacer) in like 3 hours never having put one on before for a buddy. You just can't be afraid of banging it hard...

Thanks all for the help. I am having a shop do it. They ran into the problem I described. This was the day before they closed for Christmas Eve so they were going to check into it and I decided to also. I will share this info with them and see if this helps. Thanks again. I will get some pics up of my truck soon. I have a few more things I want to finish first.
