Default Need answers for my truck and upgrades

i have a 2003 dodge 1500 4.7L and im wondering why i cant rev up the motor in nuetral more than 4000 rpms.

also the truck takes forever to hit 98, i dont think ive gotten it passed 100 even with cold air intake and flowmaster exhaust, any idea is theres something i can do to fix this, because i know this truck has more power than that...

im thinking of getting JBA shorty headers done next to go along with the Flowmaster, and then maybe a throttle body. What do u guys think i should go with first or before that? Thanks guys il take as much help as i can get!!!

our trucks have rev limiters thats why it won't rev past 4k, also has a speed limiter (106mph max)...get a programmer (superchips or diablo) and you can change both parameters.. and improve performance at the same time..

Fred has it right. There are the rev limiters that stop you from doing that. I can rev mine up to around 6k or so if I want.

Fred, I sent you a PM BTW. Need to talk to you about something.
