Has anyone swapped the 1500's five lug hub to a six lug hub? Does anyone know if its possible?

 

First thing that comes to mind is why?

Next thing is the cost will be extremely high. It would be cheaper to get a new set of wheels since that would be the only reason to do the swap.

 

That would be extremely expensive to change the entire hub. I think, and I may be wrong but you should be able to go online and look for an adapter that would go on your hub like a spacer where you could change the lug pattern from 5 on 5.5 to 6. Most adapter companies don't want to do that though. I would look at selling the rims and buying new ones for your truck. It would also be a lot safer to have a wheel that is meant for our 5 on 5.5" lug pattern.

 

All valid points. Unfurtunately I am in love with a set of wheels that are available only for the six lug pattern.
