I have one as well. I had no idea it was actually functional. I thought it was for looks

shiny screws for the lose!! need to cap those or something.

I love the spoilers on these trucks. After being used to mine for a while, I almost..well I did...drop my fathers f-150 tailgate. Sucker just slipped right off my fingers..I forgot...lol Nobody was looking....sshhhhhh

My '00 silverado had somewhat of a spoiler lip as well. Not as hefty as the dodge which i really like! Keeps the hands off of the paint too.

Looks great! as far as a comment about weight of the tailgate, I have a small shock on my tailgate. This allows me to release the lock and it takes about 4 seconds for the tailgate to fall.

i have always wanted one of those for both the looks and function... but i hate to drill holes in my tailgate... and i'm afraid it would rust underneath..

Military? I'm AD Air Force, That's why I have NY plates in NJ.

Coast Guard huh, guess I could have just read your profile to start with. My bad...
