Angry Any Dodge Techs on here?

Are there any working Dodge Mechanics on this forum? If so, here's the story, rear power sliding window leaking at lower seal. Dodge solution: REPLACE entire rear window( Which i didnt really want done) BECAUSE......Now it leaks between the window at the top right corner and the truck body. Dodge soution: SEAL the entire perimeter of the top and sides of the window with clear silicone and seal the inside top clip area. Looks entirely like ****!!!! The glass place stated "That this seal kit was supplied by Dodge and that is what they use to seal the rear window in case there is a continuous problem. MY question is " Is this REALLY what dodge has to use and this is how it is done, is there really this "KIT" that is melted in there to seal the rear window? I'm no idiot, it stinks like silicone and that's what it is. Please any input would be appreciated.

Jeez that sucks...I'm sure you arent the only one thats experienced this. I'd call around to some glass places (safelite, etc) as I'm sure they've had this same question posed.

I broke my sliding glass plastic lock and they told me I had to replace the whole back window! I went to you pull it and fixed it for about 50 cents
