haha you'll never believe what started the fire. it makes me so mad thinking about it but my sister vacuumed out the fire place from having a fire the night before and she put the vacuum in the garage and the ashes/ coals were still hot. so the vacuum caught fire right in front of my truck and set the whole house on fire!

oh that really sucks. we emptied out the fire place at my folks house and put the ashes in a bucket outside, one morning we went out side to find the bucket melted to the ground. Scarey stuff, at least everyone got out fine

That sucks about the house and vehicles but luckily no one was seriously hurt.

Count your blessings man. Sad to see the truck go, but in my yrs of firefighting I've seen many outcomes that were alot worse. Possessions can be replaced, people can't. Judging by your posts you're taking it well. Keep your head up and think of it as an early upgrade.

Sorry to hear! Half my yard was set on fire this year because the wind hit my fire pit and caught my fence on fire! I managed to put it out before it set my house on fire! I too thought the ashes in the fire pit were out! Since then I pour water on anything that has burnt before I walk away from it. Hope your new year improves!
