Anti freeze question?
Hi
Can any member here tell me why I have to use the Dodge orange anti freeze? Why is it so much better then the cheaper glycol? Can I clean and flush my system and swap for glycol as I know you can't mix the two.
Thank you.

Cheaper Chit just like the GM 100kmi chit causes internal corrosion of the radiator.
It's your truck you can use whatever you want, but I would get the better stuff if you can afford to do so.

Yes, if you flush your system you can run the other.
You can flush it and change it over to something else, I don't think there is anything wrong w/ the mopar antifreeze other than it being overpriced. Zerex g-05 is the same as the mopar HOAT antifreeze except it's cheaper and a different color.
EDIT: George beat me to it.

Thank you! I read up on it and all about hybrid OAT anti freeze etc. I found the Zerex G-05 from Valvoline and I shall be using that one if I can find it for sale in my area. I read that NAPA sells it so I'll check. Anything to get around main dealer rip-offs! lol!
Thanks again
