Transfer Case ????
Ok I need some help here (the dealer seems to be confused) which is why I am here to ask the experts.My problem is the T-Case here is what I have,
2003,2500 diesel with a standard tranny the case in it is a 271-D
my question is will the T-case out of a 2006 Automatic be the same it is a 271-D as well but the problem seems to be with the spline count one is 23 and one is 29 I am getting conflicting storys as to weather it will bolt in some yes some no,worst case I can split both and swap front shafts but want to no if first I can just swap in ?...can anyone clairify for me please ...Clint and thanks

The dealer should be able to look up your vehicle in their computer system and find the part number for your transfer case. The Auto transfer case part number either matches the Manual one, or it doesn't. What's wrong with the transfer case?? You should be able to buy a rebuild kit, if all it needs are bearings and seals.
