I dropped the pan and changed both filters on my 2003 hemi ram 4x4 and then added 6 quarts of atf+4. Drove it about 5 miles and checked it in neutral and all seemed good. Then latter on I drove it say 20 miles getting it nice and warm. Got home checked fluid and it was in between cold range on dipstick. So I added another quart and drove some. Checked fluid and it was half way to hot range. I've added another half quart and it's almost to hot range. So I have 7 and a half quarts in her when autozone told me it would only take a little over 6 quarts. Trucks shifting fine but but it looks like about 8 quarts will fill it to hot range when warmed up. Was wondering what you guys on here have added. I did search on here but it seems everyone has a diff. answer. Is there a website that will tell me? Thanks

 

its 8 quarts for just a pan drop. 17-18 for pan and tq converter.

 

Thanks, every thread I found on here said 6 and a half quarts for a 4x4 which is wrong. I kept adding a half quart at a time after the initial 6 to keep from over filling, and now have 8 quarts in. Thanks again

 

I put right at 9 qts. In mine when I did my pan drop and filter change.
