Default Removal of steering colum cover ?

I have a 2004 Ram and am in the process of installing a new stereo and plan to use my stock steering wheel controls. I'm trying to get the stupid cover off without much luck. I removed (3) Torx screws which allows the top portion to come right off. The bottom portion however seems to not be that simple. It looks like the tilt wheel lever has to be removed before it will come off but I can't figure out how to remove it.

Anyone have any guidance here?

Thanks much..
Chris

Some of the Ram steering wheel columns are identical. I've read some Dak owners purchased gauges labeled for the Ram. If you have insight on the Dak column it very well may pertain to the Ram also.

Good luck Smith. Luckily I haven't had a reason to work on that yet.
