Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel
Thanks man! I feel like I should have found this on my own. I would give myself a big FAIL on that!
WTF...Im not a interior decorator, I have a grey interior. Dodge is run by a bunch of art students or something. I can only assume taupe is the one I want.
Whatever happened to the good old days when grey was grey?
Have you ever replaced one or know the pitfalls of doing that? I just know this will take more than leatherman and bottle of Bud!
Thanks for your help. Much appreciated!

Unless they've changed the quality of the leather lately, the Mopar one is a piece of chit!
The acids/oils in your hands has a chemical reaction with it in no time. It actually starts the chaffe and flake off on you. I know a lot of guys had theirs replaced under warranty, I had it happen too, when the truck was only about 2 years old but was too stupid to goto the dealer and bi*ch. Too late by the time I found out guys were getting free replacements.
I have a cover on mine now...

My last Ram was a used Laramie with leather wheel and the leather was mucked up at the top of the wheel where the sweaty palmed *** that owned it before me kept his hands all the time. I just put a steering wheel cover, the kind with holes in it that you tie on with a plastic string, over it. For my new Ram, I found a leather cover with nice stitching, at Walmart of all places, that just slides right over the wheel. It looks and feels nice and protects my original leather. And when it wears out, I can just get a new one. It also makes the wheel thicker which is nice for my big mitts.
Smart idea! That's what I did with my Laramie when I bought it new. I found a very nice real leather slip-on and the original wheel stays new. Did the same thing for protecting my dash by using a custom-fit dash cover.

You know whats funny. Is I have always wanted a leather wrapped steering wheel in my truck, and have never ended buying a truck with one. I think when I get rich and buy a CTD, even if it does have a leather wrapepd wheel, I will most likey end up putting a cover on it. Isnt that awsome.
