Default Tire question

Hey guys,
I know this question has probably been asked 100 times, but if someone could get me an answer I would appreciate it.

I have a stock 2006 Ram 1500 4x4. I am buying a set of Nitto Trail Grapplers, and need to know what size I can fit under the stock suspension WITHOUT a leveling kit.

I have been looking at the following sizes

295/55/20
305/55/20

Will the 305/55/20 be too wide or tall? I expect to have a little bit of rub, but nothing too bad.

Your input would be appreciated.

you can rock a 305/55. It will be just a smidge shorter than your stock wheels though.. so you shouldnt have any rub at all. They are like .5" shorter in OD. Hope this helps.

I currently have 275/60/20's which are exactly 33"

From my understanding the 305/55/20's are 33.2 or so and the 295/55/20's are 32.8.

I would preffer to go with the wider/taller tire, just want to make sure it will fit without any issues.

you can fit the 305/55/20 or look at the 305/50/20 they are a little shorter but ALOT less money!

As long as ur tires are around 33" in overall diameter give and take a few 1/4 inch, and no wider than a 12.5 you will be fine stock, anything wider you will have to trim ur fenders or get new rims. I have 285/70/17 which are 33" by 11.2 and i dont rub at all and mine is also a stock 2006. Hope that helps bro
